PRE-CONCEPT DESIGN Museum & Plaza Project aims to create a cultural platform for Saudi society, offering a space where people can learn from exhibitions and each other by sharing knowledge. Visitors are guided on a journey through the rich layers of Saudi culture, starting from the urban fabric, moving through a vibrant plaza, and arriving at the museum nestled within the lush surroundings of King Salman Park. This seamless transition symbolizes the essence of Saudi hospitality, offering a cultural landscape designed for communication, gathering, and the exchange of ideas. The museum’s design delves into the deep roots of Saudi culture, the very foundation of society, and features a Salmani artifact space that looks to the future, reflecting the vision of the country. This project reinterprets the traditional urban grain into a contemporary form with interwoven spaces and a museum foyer that serves as a forum for visitors and locals to share and flourish in stories and ideas. Sub-Consultants: Bollinger+Grohmann - Structural and civil engineering Lj-Group - Landscape architects GEG Engineering - MEP Gleeds - Cost Redas Engineering - Mobility Engram - Archviz
