PRE-CONCEPT DESIGN ZEPHYR / A Light Breeze • wind • tactile • pattern • shadowplay The concept of the house is shaped by the dominant regional breeze. Concrete slabs guide the wind through the space, creating airy and refreshing courtyards. The interaction of shadow, vegetation, and moving air produces an atmosphere reminiscent of a desert oasis. An open spatial layout is gently defined by concrete planes, allowing functional zones to flow seamlessly into one another. Although the roof extends across most of the plot, the enclosed house occupies only a small portion of it. The remaining spaces are open areas filled with shade and vegetation, enhanced by the constant light breeze. Using similar materials inside and outside, together with the continuous roof plane, blurs the boundary between interior and exterior space. Sub-Consultants: Bollinger+Grohmann - Structural and civil engineering Edit - Archviz
